Gustavo V. Barbosa-CánovasGustavo V. Barbosa-Cánovas, a Fulbright Scholar, is a Professor of Food Engineering and Director of the Center for Non Thermal Processing of Food (CNPF) at Washington State University, USA and Doctor Honoris Causa, Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Spain. Current research areas of interest include Advanced Technologies for Food Preservation, Food Dehydration, Physical Properties of Foods. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Food Engineering Reviews Journal, Springer Food Engineering Book Series and CRC Press Food Preservation Book Series. He has received several international recognitions such as the IFT Nicholas Appert Award, IFT International Award and is an IFT, IFST, JSPS and IUFoST Fellow, as well as Member of the Uruguayan Academy of Engineering and the Mexican Academy of Sciences.
